Experience, expertise and a passion for helping people feel better.
With more than 30 years of experience in complementary therapies and specialist pain-relief technology, Debra has dedicated her career to helping people improve their comfort, mobility and wellbeing.
Her journey has taken her from professional massage and reflexology, through working within the NHS and charitable organisations, to becoming a leading practitioner and trainer in biofeedback electrotherapy.
Today, she combines her extensive experience with a genuinely personal approach, taking the time to understand each client and their individual needs.
A career built on experience and continuous learning
Debra gained her ITEC Diploma in Massage from the Lantern Trust in 1994.
She went on to study reflexology at the prestigious Bayly School of Reflexology, the first reflexology training school in Great Britain. After qualifying, Debra began working privately, as well as within the NHS and charitable organisations.
Her private practice continued to grow, and she went on to establish a clinic for staff at the Walt Disney Company head offices, where she provided treatments for nine years.
Her experience during these years gave her a deep understanding of the importance of treating each person as an individual and taking the time to listen to what they need.
A personal experience changed the direction of Debra's career
In 2003, Debra discovered biofeedback electrotherapy stimulation following an injury to her hand. Her own experience sparked a strong interest in the technology and its potential applications, leading her to study SCENAR therapy in the UK. Wanting to understand the technology at a much deeper level, Debra travelled to Russia to study with pioneers of biofeedback technology, where she obtained her teachers' training certificate. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in her professional career.
Following her specialist training, Debra established The Pain Relief Centre developing her practice around non-invasive approaches to pain management and wellbeing.
Over the years, she has worked with thousands of patients experiencing acute and persistent pain, sports injuries and other challenges affecting their everyday lives.
Pioneering specialist knowledge
In 2015, Debra became the first Physiokey therapist in the UK and was granted exclusive rights for Physiokey training. Since then, she has continued to develop her knowledge and expertise in biofeedback electrotherapy stimulation and has trained practitioners worldwide in SCENAR and Physiokey therapy.
Her combination of hands-on therapeutic experience, specialist technical knowledge and extensive training experience gives her a unique perspective within the field.
“My aim has always been to help people feel listened to, understood and supported. Every person is different, and I believe treatment should reflect that.”
